Lily is at her good friend’s house, trying to think of something to do, when her friend suggests that she let him hypnotize her. Lily is skeptical, but interested, and allows him to attempt putting her in a trance. Lily is told to focus her attention on a pocket watch, and after some fidgeting, is eventually relaxed enough that she slips into hypnosis. She repeats the suggestions given to her while speaking in a sleepy, quite voice. The hypnotist’s words become her thoughts, and Lily gives in completely, following all commands her master gives her.
